So again it has been a while since I lost posted. I have tried to put up a couple of reviews in that time but I wasn’t happy with them and would rather not post than put up something that I think is really bad.
I don’t know if anyone remembers but back in 2012 I posted about something called BatFit, spearheaded by Le Professor Gothique. The original idea was that she was going to try to loose 40 pounds by her 40th birthday in June and asked if anyone else wanted to join her in the challenge of improving their health and fitness. To cut a long story short it didn’t the long for all my wonderful plans for improving my life feel by the wayside. However recently I am feeling inspired again. The challenge is still going on, though it can now be found here, and I want to be part of it. I have already made a start I have started running again and to that I have added weight training. I am also interspersing that with exercise DVDs.
On the healthier eating front there hasn’t been a lot of progress but I am trying to watch what I eat and make better choices. I have also signed up to Graze again to have healthy snacks delivered to me each week. This part is working really well. I finished off my last box this morning, having some yummy low calorie pop corn, and am finding myself early waiting the new one to see what treats are in store for me. Yes I know I could probably buy healthy stuff to snack on cheaper but I like the variety this gives me.
FInally what has all this got to do with books. Well, the book I am using to point me in the right direction with all of this is Fit and Female by Geralyn B. Coopermith. This book gets you to figure out which of the six different female body types is most like you and then gives you a fitness and nutrition plan that works for you. So far I have found her exercise plan to be great for me, though I have not been doing it long enough to see any noticeable results yet.
So that is where I am up to with this, I probably won’t do individual posts for the challenges like I tried to before but I will most likely give you an update on how I am getting on in the future.
