Just for fun

We are a week into Janathon. I have now run for 8 consecutive days. Far more than my previous record of 3. What have I learnt?

  • That running is good for me. Yes really.
  • It seems that no matter how tired I get I still have more to give if I try hard enough.
  • That even though after a run I may ache I am generally more mentally alert.
  • That if I want something enough no matter how busy my life gets I’ll find a way to make time for it.
  • That I enjoy running.

Today I went out just for the fun of it. I turned off my virtual pacer. I didn’t try to go a certain distance or stick to a certain speed. I just ran. I did 1.6 miles and loved every second of it.
