There are no words I can use to describe how I feel right now. At least everyone I know is safe, however After Dark fashions is gutted and with it Aga’s livelyhood.
I’m not going to join in with the conspirosy theories as to how it started and the reasons, I don’t see the point. We’ll find out sooner or later.
The only good thing I can see is it was only businesses that were affected rather than a residential area and it happened at night when the area was deserted. On a busy saturday afternoon it could have been an awful lot worse!
My thoughts are with Cecile, Aga and anyone else effected

I’m still on Cloud 9 Slightly following the gig at the Purple Turtle on Sunday. For those of you who know me you’ll know I’ve been saying for a while that if I ever found out that Voltaire was playing this side of the pond I’d be there! Lets just say I wasn’t disapointed.
Me and Skippy went to the Dev for a quick drink before hand, met up with Cecile and Abigail, who I haven’t had a chance to talk to properly for a while. We also got to share a table with the man himself, not that I spoke to him, but still.
After that went for a wander and eventually found a nice Indian place down to road to get some food before hand. Though slightly spicier than the Star of India!
The gig was well worth the wait, very funny, pictures will be online soon.

For those of you who don’t know the 2nd of this month was my birthday, so I am now 23, so old!!
Unfortionately its also the weekend of the bogle stroll. So I spent the Saturday marshalling the event. Oh well. I got to see some people I haven’t for a while.
Though I did also discover that weekend that I have some very good friends. Manda and Dave adopted me my very own bat. Its so cute. Whilst on the subject of cute Emily and Glenn also got me the cutest little werewolf puppy I have ever seen. Hes called Lycan and is now sat on my bed, keeping Vlad, the large vampire bat from London zoo, company. Everyone was admiring him at Kryptorium that evening. For those who don’t know I am also a werewolf, well according to Sicillian folklaw anyway. All those born under the new moon were, so I guess my nickname isn’t as strange as it first appears. In fact some countries have the same word of werewolf and vampire so I think it is rather appropriate!
Skippy, being the wonderful person that he is bought me an MP3 player, which is really nice, thank you hunny, and then put the first 6 Harry Potter books on it for me! Only got as far as book four so far though
Then Sunday we went to the London Dungeon to celebrate, if you haven’t been its worth a visit, though be warned it is a little gory if your not into that sort of thing. Meant we could meet up with Esme from Wrecked though which was nice. I also managed to get a pair of fangs, haven’t tried them out yet, but I will hopefully wear them to the VC meeting at the end of the month.
I think thats it. Oh and we met the nice people who were in front of us in the queue for the Harry Potter 6 midnight release in front of us in the queue at CCK! That was quite a bizare moment!

Last night was the Vampyre ConneXion’s Dance of the Damned or vampyre ball at The Clink prison museum.
It was appsolutlety amazin, first we walked through some of the museum to get to the hall, which has left me longing to go back and see it all again properly. The hall itself was so dark that it took everyone about 20 minutes to get their night vision, but was wonderful, the perfect venue.
I only saw the first band, The Voices of Masada but loved them, I think I’m going to have to get some of their CD’s. Then spent most of the night dancing until I was exhausted. If Wrecked is anything like this next week we’ll have a great time.

Last Sunday I went to the Kensal Green Cemetry open day. An apsolutly beautiful cemetry, though it would have been a lot nicer if it hadn’t been so hot. The catacombs were lovely and cool though and I did get talking to a nice man who makes some amazing model hearses, as well as seeing some real ones. Including one with a large stuffed bat in the back that me and Emily both loved.
The pictures can be found here
