Goodbye tribble

Today is the 18th of October. Children in Need day. A day I have not been looking forward to. The reason being today is the day Skippy has his hair cut to raise money.

Dispite the fact I am emmesly sad about this there are some things I would like to say.

Skippy I love you and always have. You are the most wonderful and caring man I have ever met. I just want to say how proud I am of you for being far braver than I ever could. Although I can’t be with you today (and I really wish I could) I have been thinking about you loads.

I wish you the best for today, I hope it doesn’t get to cold out :p and I have an enormous hug to give you when I see you next

Modern geeks?

According to an article in the Metro you are a geek if five of the following statements apply to you;

I love (insert specialist subject -
e.g. music, film, fashion, cars - here)
I know shed loads about my thing
I can talk for hours about it
I stand out from the crowd
Other people come to me for info
I don't follow trends I set them
I am the first to know

They then discuss the different types of geek found throughout the ages and theorise what geeks in the future might be like. Before finally concluding with how to enbrace your new-found geekyness. This you achieve by realising what your passion is. Then spend time and money on it and finally talk about it.

So there you have it. An abrieviated guide to geekdom.

Type Casting?

The rehearsal on Wednesday seemed to go really well. I really like my character and I think I’m going to have a lot of fun with him!

Though it did seem to raise one or two questions as to whether or not some of us are a little type cast. For starters Phil who played the Pied Piper two years ago is now Mordecai, the evil magician who wishes to take over the world by overrunning it with rats!

My character seems to sum me up really well, he has a sadistic sense of humour, a tendency to break things and likes horses.

And as I said to Jackie (Elvi) afterwards, we are both a little type cast. She’s a lesbian and I’m breaking things!
