Just come back from a wonderful trip with Skippy, all the details can be found on his blog here though I’m still on cloud nine after a bat flew past my head last night.

Another realatively quite day today, went up the the family records office to see if we could fill in the missing pieces in the family tree. Found a few details we were missing but also opened up a few more gaps, that we’re still not sure about.
Today was also ythe first day of me trying out my new mooncup. I must say that it was great. To any women reading this I throughly reccomend them!

Following yesterdays fun, although realativly quite cinema trip we decided something more lively was in order. It came in theform of a trip to Paradise Wildlife Park. Saw some very cute animals, including a Belgium hare that we both fell in love with, she was appsolutely beutiful and really friendly.
ALso got to see some very cute red pandas (or firefoxs) being fed. I did get a picture on my phone but it wasn’t very clear.
As this was one of the parks I went to for my dissertation I also wanted to see how the’r tigers were doing, only one of the ones I watched was still there, before anyone says anything the others did not die they have been moved to another park in Kent. Rocky, who stayed behind, was also awaiting the arrival of a new girlfriend. Be nice to go back uin a bit and see how they’re getting on.

Following all the major excitment of yesterday we decided to do something much quieter. So as I had Orange Wednesdays on my phone we decided a cimema trip was in order.
After checking the times it came to a choice between Cars and My Super Ex-Girlfriend, though as one started 10 minutes before the other we decided to see what time we got there. In the end it was Cars.
It is a very clever film, especially seeing as it only has cars in it. I was most amused by the small car-shaped flies buzzing round at one point. There was also a quite good short film at the beginning. Twas fun!

Today we got up nice and early to get the train to Brighton, when we popped there briefly on the way back from Shoeham to see our Sponsor dog, Monica we noticed an amazing looking sand sculpture exhibition themed around the Roman Empire.
On the bus on the way we saw Paula who I met at the Vampyre ConneXion Brighton trip a few weeks ago. Big coincidence.
When we got there we had some lunch and a quick wander before heading on a small tram thing to the Marina. The sand sculptures were apposultly amazing, the pictures can be found here though they don’t really do them justice. There was simply so much detail in them.
After which we went to the Sealife centre, as we had a two for one voucher from Cadbury World. I haven’t been to that one since before Naomi was born and she’s 14 now! It was a nice trip down memory lane to see all the little fishes again, also got to stroke a velvet crab, no prizes for guessing how that got its name, it was all soft!
Then after chips on the front we headed home. Twas a long day!

Went to Romford today for a girly shopping trip. Took the bus via Illford so I could go to Fairheads following talking to a woman at the cemetary with some very nice black lace gloves. Unfortionatly they’d sold out when I got there but I need manage to get four pairs of Knee-highs for a pound so I was impressed with that anyway!
Following that went to Romford, had a very nice panini for luch followed by the delights of the chocolate fountain, very nice!

Went to the city of London cemetary open day today. Dispite the apposulty dismal weather we had a really good time. Got there in time to have a quick wander round before going to a talk on the different species of bettle living in the cemetary. Then went to another one on the histoty of funeral directing. Was interesting to hear the reasons behind all those Victorian traditions.
Also met up with the guy from Kensal Green who makes model heases, gave him one of my old horses and he seemed really pleased.
Also got a present for Emily and a coffin plate for the Vampyre ConneXion.
All in all lots of fun

Today was the start of Mummy-Daughter week as Skippy has been calling it. The week when everyone else has gone to camp so me and mum get to spend some quality time together, mostly consoling each other about the absence of singnificant others!
So off we went to Cadbury World in Bournville. Appart from our first train being delayed by 20 minutes, meaning we missed our connection and had to make hurried phone calls to find out if we could still get in we had a great time.
On the way in we were given a caramel and a pack of buttons, then went on a really interesting tour explaining the history of the chocolate and how they make certain things. There was also a small ride with lots of animated Cocoa beans which mum seemed to like, big kid. One of my favourites had to be a quote from Samuel Peeps. Parapharsed: “Went out drinking last night, woke up with this dreadful hangover won’t be doing that again. Went out for a drink to clear my head, instead was given Chocolate.” It seems thigs don’t change.
If the res of the week is anything like this we’ll have a great time
